比我在金融業的同學們，做翻譯工作的我，其實稱不上忙，也不敢稱忙，畢竟我每天還是都有睡飽定時吃飯散步。可是我總是沒時間陪小孩，沒時間逛街，沒時間跟朋友聚會，沒時間看電影。
I know how hard my peers in the financial industry are working, so I will not cry for the lack of personal time, but I am rarely have time for my baby, for window shopping, for movies that I used to like, or for hanging out with friends.
最近忙到早中晚餐都在電腦前面吃。兒子的部落格也沒啥在整理。朋友聚會不是遲到就是缺席。
But recently I've been pushed to the point of dining with my computer, I've neglected my son, and I am always late or never there for my friends.
於是今天中午，決定停工幾個小時，去找朋友吃飯，帶兒子去給阿姨們看。朋友很貼心地約在百貨公司，讓沒時間逛街的我可以偷空血拼一場。
Today I decided to make less money for a few hours and dine out with a couple of former colleagues. Fortunately, for my sake and convenience, they chose a department store near the MRT so that I could shop afterwards, which I did.
沒想到偶爾休息一下的效果竟然是這麼好。shopping remedy的效果果然不是蓋的。
I haven't had nothing to do but hang around for a few hours for a long time. Well, I did 'do'(aka buy) something, and there indeed is no end to the healing powers of shopping.
均衡的生活真的很重要。有時候休息一下，工作起來會更有靈感。畢竟翻譯還是很需要靈感的工作。
Living a balanced life is vital, particularly for translators, for whom inspiration is everything.
